Kurji Holy family Hospital
The Medical Missionary Sisters of USA opened the Holy Family Hospital in Padri-ki-Haveli in 1939, in response to an invitation by the then Bishop of Patna, Bishop Sullivan. In 1942 they started a nursing school which also grew into a school of midwifery and pharmacy. Crowded for space the hospital shifted to its new site on the bank of the Ganga at Kurji in November 1958, with the support to many benefactors including the Patna Jesuits. It offers high class multi-disciplinary medical service. Kurji Holy family Hospital is a well equipped 300 bed institution with modem facilities for services round the clock, by a team of 550 qualified and committed doctors, nurses and other supportive care personnel. The Medical Mission Sisters of Kurji Holy Family Hospital and the Sister's Chariaty of Nazareth entered into a partnership along with other like-minded religious groups and Jesuits, who are working towards an ecological balance and justice in the Health Care System with holistic approach.
